St. Johns UFC expansion Project

St Johns Urban Farm Collective Informational Meeting
Wednesday, Jun 27th, 6pm
Location: A private home in St Johns
Please contact Amanda for address: amasha00@gmail.com, 971-645-5279.

The collective will work with landowners to transform vacant land in our neighborhood into productive food gardens.
* Volunteer Run: every aspect of the project is run by volunteers.
* Barter System: every hour that you volunteer is a barter share that you can cash in at the weekly market, exchanging labor for food.
* Skills Building: by volunteering, you can get practice in planning, public speaking, outreach, and of course, gardening

Through this project, we are building Power!
Power to feed ourselves without relying on corporate giants.
Power to create our own mini economy of abundance outside of a struggling unsustainable economy.
Power to join with our neighbors and create the world we want to live in.

We welcome builders, gardeners, first timers, unemployed people, and 9 to 5ers. Contact Amanda with your name and neighborhood to RSVP: amasha00@gmail.com, 971-645-5279.

This project is based on the model pioneered by the Urban Farm Collective based in NE Portland. Founder of the NE UFC Jeanette Kaden will be at this informational meeting to share the model that they use, and then we will open for discussion.
