The way it works…

Community members from around inner Portland dedicate their land, time and skills to the project. Some folks dedicate a section of their land and are assigned a specific crop. Others get their hands dirty in one of our plots and some people help us in administrative ways. We gather all of our harvests together, selling our produce to the Tin Shed. The remaining produce is available to the public at our Open-Air Harvest Market. Wednesdays during Happy Hour in the Tin Shed’s garden! Our participants also sell harvests from their personal gardens, ensuring a diverse bounty. Collective participants who contribute 15 hours or more per month, get one ‘share’ of the proceeds and remaining produce. Shares are also given to land-holders for each plot they dedicate to the project.

We welcome volunteers with all levels of time to commit, so contact us and get involved!
