Giving Back


Boys and Girls Club of Portland and the Urban Farm Collective have joined hands in a cooperative effort to teach children the values and merits of growing food.

Each week, educators from the Urban Farm Collective will be taking a number of children from the Boys and Girls club to local gardens (donated to the collective by generous neighbors). There, we will teach the children all aspects of growing food, from garden design to harvest to sales at the locally sponsored weekly farmer's market.
